Our convention is over, but we still have one major task to complete; that is to put our KPSNA directory together. If you ever thought about being an author, this may be your chance, it is time to wake up that artist in you. If you have ideas for writing an article about our culture, our history, or about any interesting incidence you may have experienced, or interesting statistics/facts about our community, poem, humor or any other appropriate items for our directory, please submit your ideas or synopsis as soon as you can to info@kpsna2010milan.com. It can be in Gujarati or English. Final selections will be made on criteria established by the Communication and Directory Committee.
Let your imagination loose and show off your writing skills and help make our directory match our superb convention!!
Dear KPSNA Members:
We just completed our 7Th KPSNA Convention in Baltimore, Maryland. We thank all members that attended our KPSNA 2010 Milan during July 3 through 5, 2010. We also thank KPSNA Executive members for allowing KPS Maryland, Washington DC and Virginia to host KPSNA convention in Baltimore. Over 125 KPS MD/DC/VA volunteers, KPSNA executive members, PCA select executives, and Chicago convention host members all worked as a team to make this 7Th convention one of the most successful conventions that our community have had arranged in North America to date.
The following is a brief update on post convention activities:
a) FINANCIAL UPDATE:
Our total convention cost as of August 1, 2010, is $1300 less than what we had budgeted for (Budget $291,000 actual cost $289,700.) We have $32,000 reserved to pay for pending expenses for directory, video, mailing and other expenses. Once all activities are completed our total cost will be approximately $322,000. Thanks to your generous support, we have raised sufficient funds to pay for all expenses for this convention.
b) DIRECTORY/YEARBOOK:
Our Registration, Communication and IT team has just started work on directory yearbook. It will require extensive amount of work. We are planning to have a separate “Expert Advise” list in the Directory.
c) EXPERT ADVISE SECTION:
We wish to prepare a separate section in the directory listing experts that can provide advise on various matters. This list to include name, profession and contact information for KPSNA volunteer experts. Our community members can use this list, as a reference to obtain help and guidance.

We like to prepare list of physicians, health support professionals, business owners, financial professionals, engineers and other professionals. Please send above requested information for each professional volunteer in your family to info@kpsna2010milan.com.
d) PHOTOGRAPHS/VIDEOS:
Our photograph/video team just received video and photograph master DVDs. They will go through all raw DVDs and provide their input to the vendor so he can make master set of edited DVDs. Once master set is approved, we will authorize the vendor to prepare at least 300 sets of DVDs that can be distributed to the convention attendees. We are planning to mail set of edited DVDs to all attendees by the end of November 2010.
